About the Role

Binance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Engineer with a strong focus on security to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding team. In this pivotal remote role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and secure backend services and APIs. Your primary objective will be to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of user data and digital assets across our platforms. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of secure coding practices, advanced cryptography principles, and complex distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and meticulously maintain high performance, scalable, and inherently secure backend systems that power various Binance products.
• Implement advanced security features, including robust authentication and authorization mechanisms, sophisticated data encryption protocols, and effective fraud detection capabilities.
• Conduct thorough security reviews of both codebases and infrastructure to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate seamlessly with cross functional engineering teams to embed security best practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment.
• Actively participate in critical incident response protocols and comprehensive vulnerability management processes.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in security threats, industry trends, and emerging technologies to proactively enhance Binance's security posture.

Minimum Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in backend development, with a demonstrably strong specialization in security aspects.
• Exhibit expert proficiency in either Golang or Java programming languages.
• Proven experience working with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and leading cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of cryptographic principles, secure coding standards, and common web vulnerabilities as outlined by OWASP Top 10.
• Familiarity with widely used database technologies like PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Possess excellent problem solving abilities and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience within the blockchain or cryptocurrency industry is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge and practical experience with various security tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
